20 songs and a show.

October 26th, 2006

Things are beginning to come together…Hurricane and Whipping boy are now complete. Delaware is also done. All in all, we have close to a 20 song set…now if only we could play it all the way through. With that being said, we are planning on making an appearance at Caribou Coffee in Olney, MD next Fri. Will anyone show or will it just be that creepy Asian kid that kept touching my son. Details forthcoming. (Remember to bring your hand sanitizer).

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful…!?

October 19th, 2006

After over two weeks of inactivity, we finally were able to make it up to Beck’s for a solid three hour rehearsal. This practice went exceptionally well. Instead of plowing through the normal set (as is part of most normal Sepia rehearsals), we actually worked on new material for a change. We continued work on two relatively new songs that are in the works – Whipping boy and Hurricane. Beck also whipped out a brand new little ditty. This song will be the sequel to Delaware…which is going to be one of my favorites — this song is awesome. It is moderately paced with a hook that sticks in your head.

To round off the evening, we got lost on the way home. As I rambled in Beach’s ear for about 30 minutes, we noticed a sign on the side of the road, “Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful”…not a good sign when you call Maryland home. All in all it was a good night. We should have a coffee house show lined up in the next two weeks — we will let you know.
